I'm shocked that Rufus the Wonder Neon is still up and running. But you're right on the mileage - back when gas was cheap and I didn't have to go very far, $15 in the tank got me two or three weeks.

Hope Brad pulls it out (he's Doug's cousin and my brother). For new readers: it's weird, but in my immediate family we have one Democrat (me), one Republican (my oldest brother David, who is a County Commissioner), and an independent (Brad). And all of us are involved in politics in one way or another. I've suggested we start calling Dad "John D. Rockefeller III," but no one seems to get that joke.

It's odd hearing good things about BNL's football team, since it was so consistently awful for so long. You're right - a school that size (graduating classes in the 350 - 400 range) oughta be much better all the way around.

I don't know if you ever had Bill Tatom, but I'm told he's retiring at the end of this year. Heckuva government teacher.

I did have Mr. Tatom, but that was a LOOOONG time ago. I also remember looking mostly at the back of my eyelids through government class.
